Organized by the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law, a round table on "Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and international organizations: from national liberation to modern development" was held at the Faculty of Law dedicated to the National Salvation Day and the 30th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Republic's membership to the UNESCO.

At the event, the Dean of the Law Faculty, Zaur Aliyev, said that the cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and the UNESCO are developing on a rising line, and that our country has become a reliable partner in the direction of ensuring peace and security in the world on all international platforms where it is a participant. In addition, following reports were made by Professor Latif Huseynov, judge of the European Court of Human Rights on "The right to education in the experience of the European Court of Human Rights", by Member of the Milli Majlis, Professor Nizami Safarov on "The violation of the regime of protection of cultural resources during war: war crime or cultural genocide?", by the representative of the National Commission of Azerbaijan on UNESCO, Eltay Aslanov on "The main directions of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and UNESCO", by Parvana Bayramova, representative of the Baku Office of the Council of Europe on "The cooperation with the Faculty of Law and the Council of Europe", by Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council on "The alternative dispute resolution as a new trend: the role of the BSU Faculty of Law in mediation reforms", by Nijat Mammadli, adviser to the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on "The education as a tool of soft power in international relations: Azerbaijan's international cooperation in the field of education", by the Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Elnur Aslanov on "The internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international organizations: perspectives of cooperation", by the Head of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law of the BSU Faculty of Law, Professor Amir Aliyev on "The main directions of activities by the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law", by the Head of the Law Clinic of the Faculty of Law, Professor Turgay Huseynov, Doctor of Sciences, on "Azerbaijan and the European Union: development perspectives", by Jeyhun Khalilov, 4th year student of the Faculty of Law, Chairman of the Student Scientific Society, on "The role of the Student Scientific Society in the development of the faculty of law".
