On June 26, 2018, with the support of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in France and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France, with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law of Baku State University, Doctor of Law, Professor Amir Aliyev, presentation and discussion were held. Opening the presentation held at the Cultural Center of the Azerbaijani Embassy in France, President of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan in France Jean-Francois Mansell first informed the participants about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, noting that more than one million people were expelled from their homeland as a result of Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani lands. Armenia has committed many genocides and crimes. France and many other countries are unaware of the conflict. He said the book would be important for the French society and the world community to learn about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Commenting on the book, Jacques Sopelsa, a professor at the University of Paris I, said he gave an objective assessment of the book's legal analysis of international crimes committed by Armenians against the Azerbaijani people, which are still being pursued by the Republic of Armenia. He noted the importance of the book for the French society and the world community, which presents the legal aspect of the conflict based on historical and legal facts.

Vice President of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan Jean Pierre Alali said he recognized Azerbaijan as a peace-loving country. He said that despite the fact that Azerbaijan has a strong army, it has always wanted to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully, and the work done by the Azerbaijani state in this direction is commendable.

Speaking at the event, Professor Amir Aliyev noted that the policy of aggression and genocide of Armenians against our people, which began in the XIX century and accelerated in the XX century, as well as continues today in the eyes of the international community, deals a heavy blow to international cooperation.

Despite the UN Security Council resolutions (822, 853, 874, 884) to end Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan, as well as the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, Armenia does not give up its policy of committing international crimes, its aggressive stance against Azerbaijan and openly refuses to comply the decisions of international organizations.

Amir Aliyev further noted that Azerbaijan invites Armenia to resolve the conflict peacefully, offering all possible compromises for peace in the world and in the region with the foreign policy founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully pursued by President Ilham Aliyev today. Azerbaijan has been able to prove at various levels that it is based on international law in resolving the conflict.

The activity of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva in conveying the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the realities of Azerbaijan to the world should also be noted and set an example for the entire Azerbaijani society.

Amir Aliyev, expressed hope that France, one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, a permanent member of the UN Security Council and an exemplary democratic state, would support the idea of establishing an International Criminal Tribunal to bring Armenian criminals to justice.

At the end of the event, Professor Amir Aliyev and other participants of the presentation answered questions from the audience, who showed great interest in the book. All participants were also presented with copies of the book signed by the author.

The event was attended by about 100 well-known French scientists, cultural figures and intellectuals.
