Representatives of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law of Baku State University, included in the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Program, Doctor of Laws, Professor Amir Ibrahim Aliyev, Ph.D. in Law Gulnaz Aydin Rzayeva and Associate Professor of the Department of “Constitutional Law", Ph.D. in Law Aytekin Nazim Ibrahimova received an offer from the Peace Human Rights Governance (PHRG) journal to publish the article on “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND PERSONAL DATA: INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL FRAMEWORK” after a successful presentation at the “Data-driven human rights research annual international human rights conference” arranged by Antonio Papisca Human Rights Center, the UNESCO Chair of Human Rights, Democracy and Peace and the Department of “Political Science, Law and International Studies” of the University of Padua, the article was published in the March issue of the journal (5 (1) -2021). It should be noted that the journal has been published since 1982 by the Antonio Papisca Center for Human Rights at the University of Padua. The journal is indexed by Google Scholar, Ebsco Host, Database of Open Access Journal (DOAJ), the European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS).

The UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law has launched a new project to prepare a “Comprehensive International Report on the Violated Rights of Internally Displaced Persons in the Occupied Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”

On October 29, 2020, the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law of the Faculty of Law of Baku State University (BSU) launched a new project to prepare a Comprehensive International Report on the Violated Rights of Internally Displaced Persons in the Occupied Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project will be headed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev. By the order of the rector of BSU, the relevant working group on the project was established. The working group includes well-known legal scholars from various universities in Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and Kazakhstan, as well as Azerbaijan, as well as young researchers, graduate students and masters. The co-chairs of the working group are Amir Aliyev, Head of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law at BSU, Mahammad Guluzadeh, Head of MG Consulting Company and Turgay Huseynov, Head of the Legal Clinic of BSU. The working group will include about 10 departments and secretariats, as well as a website.

The textbook "Human Rights" by the head of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law, Doctor of Laws, Professor Amir Ibrahim Aliyev has been published. The textbook analyzes the theoretical and practical issues of human rights in the legal literature on the basis of the diversity of views, important international norms adopted in this area, including the national legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and various countries. The textbook focuses on the place of human rights in the legal system, the essence, main directions and important elements of human rights protection, the history of the formation and development of human rights, the general nature and protection of individual human rights and freedoms, the protection of individual groups, protection of human rights, important international norms in the field of protection of human rights, universal security systems in the field of protection of human rights, regional mechanisms in the field of protection of human rights, national mechanisms in the field of protection of human rights, population problems and protection of human rights.

The textbook "Information Law" was published by the staff of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law

A textbook entitled "Information law" was published by the staff of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law. The textbook dedicated to the centenary of Baku State University (BSU) reflects the theoretical and practical issues of information law.

Co-authors of the book are Dean of the Faculty of Law of BSU, Head of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Information Law, Doctor of Laws, Professor Amir Ibrahim Aliyev, lecturers of the Chair – Ph.D. in Law Gulnaz Aydin Rzayeva, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor Bahruz Abdurrahman Maharramov and Shahin Sabir Mammadrzali, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law of BSU, Associate Professor of the Department of "Constitutional Law", Ph.D. in Law Aytekin Nazim Ibrahimova.

The textbook explains the methods and directions of legal regulation of public relations in the field of information, the protection of basic human rights and freedoms, forms of implementation of information law and related practical problems, examines the essence of the basic concepts of information law and their legislative establishment. Aspects of the regime and classification are interpreted, the mechanisms of ensuring the principles of information law are judged, the theoretical and practical problems of all legal institutions of information law are studied in detail, the problems of ensuring human rights and freedoms in the global information space are investigated, experience (international and local) is analyzed, directions of information and legal policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including the rule of law, civil society in the Republic and the chronology of the development of social state ideas in modern conditions is analyzed.

Taking into account the rapid development of information law relations, the textbook comprehensively studies the sources of information law aimed at regulating these relations - universal, regional and bilateral international legal documents, as well as information and domestic normative legal documents adopted in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In general, as a result of full mastering of the textbook "Information Law" legal regulation of information law institutions, the main directions of state policy on informatization, information security and information protection, mechanisms for realization of information rights, main features of e-government, regulation of information law relations, acquiering knowledge about the specifics of international experience is possible.
